80' Knuckle Boom Description
The JLG 80' knuckle boom is a high-reach articulating boom designed for construction, industrial, and maintenance job site tasks. With a maximum platform height of 80 feet and a horizontal outreach of up to 56 feet, this knuckle boom has the ability to reach over and around obscacles, making it perfect for tasks such as building maintenance, bridge construction, and stadium lighting installation. It has a dual-axis articulating jib giving it precise position of the platformo at various heights and angles.
This knuckle boom features a 4-wheel drive system, providing excellent traction on uneven surfaces, and also can easily navigate rough terrain. The boom has a powerful diesel engine delivering reliable performance.
Because of it's ability to reach great heights, the safety features on the JLG 80' knuckle boom include a fall arrest system, an automatic platform leveling system, and a control system that prevents the boom from operating outside of its safe operating range. There are sensors and alarms that alert operators of potential hazards including low fuel or hydrualic oil levels.
