What are the different types of forklifts available?
They come in different types and sizes, each suited for specific applications. Here are the most common types of forklifts. Counterbalance Forklifts: the most common type of forklifts used in warehouses and distribution centers, they have 2 forks that lift and move loads in all directions. Reach Forklifts: ideal for narrow aisles and have the ability to reach high shelves with ease. Order Picker Forklifts: designed to pick items from high shelves in warehouses.
What is the weight capacity of a forklift?
The weight capacity of a forklift varies depending on the size and model. Generally, forklifts can lift between 1 ton to 50 tons, with most forklifts having a capacity between 2 tons to 5 tons. NOTE: The weight capacity should never exceed the manufacturers’ specifications.
How high can a forklift lift loads?
The maximum height of a forklift can lift a load depends on the specific model, but typically, forklifts can lift loads to a height of between 10 and 15 feet. Some specialized forklifts can lift up to 36 feet.
What safety measures should be followed while operating a forklift?

Diesel: diesel forklifts are powered by diesel fuel and are primarily used in outdoor applications and known for their power and durability.
Can forklifts be used outdoors and indoors?
Yes. Forklifts can be used both indoors and outdoors. However, there are forklifts that are designed to work specifically indoors and others outdoors.
How long does the battery of an electric forklift last?
The battery life of an electric forklift varies on several factors including: the capacity of the battery, the size of the forklift, and the frequency and intensity of use. An electric forklift battery can last anywhere between 5-8 hours. Some forklift batteries may need to re-charged through a shift if they are heavily used.
What training is required to operate a forklift?
